I spotted some pretty, chunky pink agate stone beads in Joann Crafts over the weekend and HAD to figure out what I could use them for. Paired with thick brass chain, I put together a simple but bold necklace that I’m hoping will work for summer and beyond.
Back Yard Discoveries
It’s been hot and rainy here this week, and the last month or so before my son starts school will be largely devoted to keeping him busy and happy. This morning we went out to the yard to check on the status of our garden, admire our lovely blue hydrangeas and found a surprise or two.

Do you need to keep your young child busy on a trip or car ride this summer? If you have a phone or iPad, of course there are lots of apps that are fun for kids to play, but give the computer games a rest now and then, and keep the kiddos busy with a simple notebook of printable activities tailored to their interests and skill level.

Organizing the Pantry
Sorry no projects recently, we have been spending lots of time outdoors enjoying spring, and I have also been doing some much needed organizing projects inside. Recently, I spent a little time tidying our pantry and found the solution to some of my problems in a simple roll of shelf liner.
