Glittery Scrap Necklace
I’m afraid spring fever (and a 4 year old boy) have been keeping me outside right now, and making it rather difficult for me to make crafts, but I did find time yesterday to make an interesting little necklace out of some materials I had around the house.
Bright Color Dot Magnets
Brightly colored dots (these are cut out from left over paint chips) add a pop of color to the back of wooden clothespins and make simple and fun magnets. This project is super easy and inexpensive.
Rustic Jewelry Hook
Today I took about five minutes to repurpose an interesting piece of flat bark I had found into a little jewelry hook, using only some 97¢ cup hooks and sawtooth hangers.
Bug Jar
It may officially be fall, but my son is still into catching bugs (probably more so because they keep trying to sneak into our house). Unfortunately, his bug box broke and it wasn’t really holding his little captives anymore. He was going to trap some in a dark box, so I went looking for a more humane, yet temporary solution by using a Mason jar. Now he really likes his little bug jar.
Art Supply Caddy
Over the weekend I made a little art supply caddy for my son’s pens, scissors and crayons using four plastic cups and an old lazy susan.
