Here’s a little makeover to start the week. We keep a tray on our coffee table that serves as a place to keep remotes, books, teacups etc. It was looking rather sad.
I decided it needed some color, so I spray painted it a bright turquoise blue (Valspar’s Tropical Oasis). There’s a little picture frame getting the same treatment — I try to double up on the spray painting projects when I can.
Then I decided to use something really special — shelf liner — and some twine to finish it up. (Only the finest materials here.)
I wrapped twine around the handles tightly to give it a little “something something” there, and wove in the ends with a tiny crochet hook.
Next, the shelf liner to line the bottom — perhaps not the prettiest of materials — however, it serves a practical purpose here, because we set our cups on it often, and I had some around.
To dress that up a little, I spray painted the tan liner with the last remnants of some gold spray paint (Krylon’s 18K Gold, not shown).
And there you have it.
